ISINNOVA analyses parking policies and delivers recommendations for innovative parking management solutions for sixteen urban areas in Europe.
Park4SUMP was developed for the European Commission, receiving funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme as an innovation action project.
Even though effective parking management is proven to be beneficial in delivering sustainable urban mobility in European cities, it is still one of the most underdeveloped sections of Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning (SUMP).
Good parking management can help free up public space, support local businesses, reduce time spent looking for parking, generate revenues – and make cities more attractive.
Park4SUMP aims to help cities integrate innovative parking management solutions into Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs), putting parking management at the heart of a wider strategy to improve urban mobility and overall quality of life in European cities.
