Screenshot of DIGNITY home pageThe DIGNITY project has just launched its project website, located at www.dignity-project.eu. This will be an important resource for policy makers, researchers, public and private transport operators, digital mobility product and service providers, user associations, and citizens interested in making digital mobility both more inclusive and more sustainable.

“By looking at the digital transport eco-system through the eyes of the end users, particularly those who are vulnerable to exclusion, we can better understand what works for them and what doesn’t. That kind of knowledge is invaluable to policy makers, transport operators, and providers of mobility services and products,” says Silvia Gaggi of Isinnova, the project’s coordinator. DIGNITY will provide insights, guidelines, toolkits and recommendations that will help decision makers draft policies that support underserved users and digital mobility providers design products and services that benefit all users.

For those who would like to know more about who is involved in the project, the website features a page with information about the consortium, including links to the websites and social media channels of all of the partners.

Details regarding the DIGNITY approach – exactly how it will accomplish its goal of making digital mobility more inclusive, the different phases of the project, and its outputs are available in the “Approach” section.

Those interested in discovering more about the pilots in Barcelona, Tilburg, Ancona and Flanders can read about these regional initiatives and how DIGNITY is going to make a difference in these areas.

It also provides a sneak peek at the Learning Community, with a section explaining how it will work and what will be available there. The Learning Community Platform will not only be the place to go for inclusive design guidelines, co-design insights, and more – it will also be a great place for policy makers, researchers, transport operators, digital mobility product and service providers, and user associations, to network and exchange ideas.

Finally, users can track the project’s progress and find out about project-related events on the news and events page.

About DIGNITY

DIGNITY, DIGital traNsport In and for socieTY, will delve into the digital transport eco-system to grasp the full range of factors that might lead to disparities in the uptake of digitalised mobility solutions by different user groups in Europe. Analysing the digital transition from both a user and provider’s perspective, DIGNITY will present the challenges brought about by digitalisation, and design, test and validate the DIGNITY approach, a novel concept that seeks to become the ‘ABCs for a digital inclusive travel system’.
